Immigration protests take apparent toll on shoppers, productivity
ATLANTA The "Day Without Immigrants" is a day of more "closed" signs.
Stores, stands and food courts are shut down at Atlanta's Plaza Fiesta mall.
Around Camden, New Jersey, almost all of the county's independent grocery stores are closed.
A church pastor on Long Island says he's also seen "early returns" indicating a successful boycott, since sites where day laborers gather were empty today.
Businesses in a heavily Hispanic area of southwest Detroit are closed, although many leaders urged people to go to work and not risk losing their jobs.
In the nation's capital, an executive with Mexicans Without Borders tells the Associated Press, lots of people are staying home instead of rallying, because they fear an I-R-S roundup.

yeah mexicans rock...... yeah.... lets all come to america illegally, then the minimum wage will never rise due to the excess of workers flooding the country willing to work for that wage and less. In turn the actual citizens are punished, the kids out of highschool just trying to start on their own, can't compete for a life with the low minimum wage, in turn higher wage positions will never adjust at the rate of inflation... thank you illegal immigrants... thank you for coming over here to start a better life.... while punishing people whose birth right it is.... god bless you guys.
